FTP - File Transfer Protocol
Once you have your web hosting and your domain name, then your ready to start transferring file to your web hosting server. You will need a FTP software or some other type of service to transfer your web pages or scripts.
Free FTp Software
There are many free file transfer software programs online, you have choices enough. What I personally use is FireFTP, a add-on plugin for Firefox. It works just fine, and I see no need for anything else.
I have also used many other free programs, such as ws ftp, cute ftp and smart ftp, but I made the choice for something simple. When I wish to transfer huge file, I use FileZila, also a free FTP client. You can download it here: http://filezilla-project.org/
Any program will do the job, just spend time working with a couple from the above mentioned ones, and the one that you like is the one you should stick with. they just have different interface, and choose one that show both your server side as well as your hard-drive. Those are best to work with. Just make sure you understand how the program works, I will have a video, showing exactly how this all works.
The FTP program you choose is what you will be using often.
